I went out to feed horses this morning and promptly returned to the house for the camera so I could take these pictures standing in the 7 degree morning air, listening to hungry horses nicker their insult at having to wait for breakfast.
According to the calendar, spring will be here in fewer than three weeks. With snow and temperatures like this, I think spring is merely a technical term.

Thanks! I’ve been oddly okay with the lingering winteriness of the weather. That morning I was merrily snapping pictures like a pro — work it baby, own it, give me some pouty, now big eyes, big eyes — then suddenly it occurred to me: Cripes, it’s March and I’m seriously freezing my hands out here. How odd is this? (Brunette, you can imagine Ted’s soft huh-huh-huh-huh-hunh nicker of worry from the feeding area because I was neglectfully dinking around at feeding time. 🙂 Bad human. Bad.)
